Round Winter Purse

Materials Needed: 2 skeins of Lion Brand Wool-Ease chunky, K hook, sewing needle

Directions:

Ch 3. join with a sl st to form a ring

Round 1 - work 9 hdc in ring just formed, join with a sl st to top of ch 2 (10)

Round 2 - ch 2, hdc in same st, work 2 hdcs in each st around, join with a sl st to top of ch 2 (20)

Round 3 - ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in next st, (2 hdc in next st, hdc in next st) repeat around join with a sl st to top of ch 2 (30)

Round 4 - ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in next 2 sts, (2 hdc in next st, hdc in next 2 sts) repeat around join with a sl st to top of ch 2 (40)

Round 5 - ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in next 3 sts, (2 hdc in next st, hdc in next 3 sts) repeat around join with a sl st to top of ch 2 (50)

Round 6 - ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in next 4 sts, (2 hdc in next st, hdc in next 4 sts) repeat around join with a sl st to top of ch 2 (60)

Round 7 - ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in next 5 sts, (2 hdc in next st, hdc in next 5 sts) repeat around join with a sl st to top of ch 2 (70)

Round 8-23 - ch 2, hdc in each st around, join with a sl st to top of ch 2, (70)

Round 24- ch 2, hdc in next 24 sts, ch 20 (this will be the handle), skip next 10 sts, hdc in next 25 sts, sk next 10 sts, ch 20, join with a sl st to top of ch 2

Round 25- ch 1, hdc in same st as joining, sc in next 24 sts, work 25 scs around the ch 20 (handle) on previous round, sc in next 25 sts, work 25 scs around ch 12 on previous round. join with a sl st to 1st sc.

Round 26 - ch 1, reverse sc in each st around

Inside Pocket:

ch 15

Round 1 - hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch, hdc around the backside of the chain (28) do not join

Round 2-8 - using a stitch marker to mark first stich, hdc in each st around, when you get to the stitch marker at end of round 8, hdc in next 3 sts ch 2 turn

Row 1 - hdc in next 13 sts, fasten off leaving a long length of yarn to sew with.

Sew pocket to inside of purse under one of the handles.

Fasten off.
