Triple C Poncho ( Classy, Chic and Camouflage!!)

Materials Needed: size 13 ( shorter length ) and 15 ( longer length ) circular needles, size 17 straight needles, Size K crochet hook, 4 - 100 gram balls of Jo-ann Exclusive Sensations Angel Hair yarn (alternate yarn- heavy worsted weight yarn) Here is a direct link to the Jo-ann yarn http://www.joann.com/catalog.jhtml?CATID=46515&PRODID=89687

 

with size 13 circular needles cast on 80 stitches

Round 1 - join, place 1st marker, knit 40 sts, place 2nd marker, knit until you get to the first marker  

Round 2 - purl all stitches  

Round 3- switch to size 15 circular needles, knit all stitches until 1 stitch before 1st marker (continue to work entire poncho on the size 15's)

 Round 4- knit front and back of stitch before marker, slip marker, knit front and back of stitch after marker, knit around to 1 st before second marker, knit in the front and back, slip marker, knit front and back of next stitch, knit to marker

Repeat rounds 3 and 4 until sides (not the middle point) measure 23 inches in length ending with a non- increasing round, purl the next round, knit the next round, bind off onto size 17 needles.

 

Flower: 

ch 40, in 3rd chain from hook work 4 dcs, *sc in next ch, 5 dcs in next ch (shell) * repeat until end of chain, fasten off leaving a long length of yarn to sew with.  This piece will automatically spiral, roll the first shell and  continue to roll up the flower and sew as you roll. Sew to poncho.
