SWEET BABY BOOTIES
Materials Needed: small amount of worsted weight or sport weight yarn, G hook
These booties can be made smaller or larger by changing the hook size and the yarn size.

Long Half Double Crochet LHDC: YO hook ,insert hook in the skipped st one row below the row that you are working on, draw up a loop, YO and draw through all 3 loops on hook.
hdc dec - Half Double Crochet Decrease- yo, insert hook in st, yo pull up a loop, insert hook in next st, yo pull up a loop, yo pull through all 4 loops on hook
ch 16
Round 1 - hdc in 2 nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch (15 total) working around the backside of the ch, work 2 hdc in first st, 1 hdc in the next 13 sts, 2 hdc in next st, place a st marker in the last st just worked
Round 2 - hdc in each st around (32 total)
Round 3 - hdc in BLO if each st around (32 total)
Round 4 - hdc in each st around (32 total)
Round 5 - *hdc dec in next 2 sts* repeat 3 times, hdc in next 20 sts, *hdc dec in next 2 sts* 3 times (26 total)
Round 6 - *hdc dec in next 2 sts* repeat 3 times, hdc in next 14 sts, *hdc dec in next 2 sts* 3 times (20 total)
Round 7 - *hdc in first st, ch 1, sk a st, hdc in next st* continue from *to* around (11 hdc total)
Round 8 - * LHDC in next st, hdc in next st* continue from *to * around.
Round 9 - *hdc in first st, ch 1, sk a st, hdc in next st* continue from *to* around. Fasten off. Roll down the top 2 rows for the cuff.
